Repair Services Terms and Conditions
By submitting your device for repair services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Collection and Recycling
- Device Collection: You must collect your device within 75 days of repair completion to avoid recycling.
- Mechanics Lien Law: We will retain your device and any accessories until all charges are paid or until 75 days have passed since the completion of the repair or a “No Fix” determination.
2. Authorization and Risks
- Authorization for Repairs: By submitting your device, you authorize us to perform the necessary repairs.
- Inherent Repair Risks: Please be aware that repairs involve inherent risks, including potential damage to delicate components.
3. Payment
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept Cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Venmo, and Klarna.
- Payment Terms: Your device will be held until full payment is made, unless a payment plan has been approved in advance.
4. Estimates and Fees
- Estimate Adjustments: We may adjust the initial repair estimate. If the estimate exceeds the original by more than 49%, we will notify you.
- Storage Fees: If you do not collect your device within 30 days of the repair completion, a $1 per day storage fee will apply.
- Repair Attempt Fees: Fees ranging from $40-$150 may apply for unsuccessful repair attempts that require diagnosis. In the event of an unsuccessful repair attempt, we may, at our discretion, provide you with the necessary information to continue the repair process on your own. However, this is not guaranteed and will depend on the specific circumstances.
- Assessment Before Repairs: Work will only commence after we assess the issue and receive information about how the problem started. If no assessment is provided, we will hold the device for up to 30 days before charging a $1 per day storage fee.
- No Fix Fee: A minimum $10 No Fix fee will apply for devices shipped to us. This fee will also apply for in-house devices where no fix is possible.
5. Responsibility and Liability
- Cosmetic Damage: We do not accept liability for any pre-existing or new cosmetic damage occurring during the repair.
- Data Loss: You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for data loss.
- Liability Cap: Our liability is limited to the total fee for services rendered.
- Damaged Parts: We are not obligated to return parts that are damaged beyond repair, including but not limited to broken housings, faulty chargers, or damaged LCD screens. These parts will be retained as part of the repair process.
6. Device Return and Warranty
- Mid-Repair Return: We do not return devices mid-repair unless specific conditions are met. This includes parts ordered with a non-refundable deposit, which will not be returned until the repair is fully completed. While we may offer to sell you the parts, please note that the non-refundable deposit is intended to cover the cost of the service, not just the part itself.
- Warranty Coverage:
- 90 Days: We offer a 90-day warranty for LCD screen replacements, hard disk, and memory replacements.
- 30 Days: We offer a 30-day warranty for all other repairs.
7. Refunds
- Unopened/Undiagnosed Devices: A full refund will be provided if the device was never opened or fully diagnosed.
- Warranty Refunds: If the device is covered under warranty, you must return it for us to address the original issue. If we are unable to resolve the issue, we will offer a partial refund, minus any diagnostic fees.
- Deposit Refunds for Missing Parts: If we requested a deposit for special-order parts and the part is unavailable or cannot be found, we will refund the deposit amount, minus any diagnostic fees incurred.
- Upfront Fees for Opened Devices: A mandatory upfront fee of at least $50 applies to services on devices that have been opened or previously worked on. This fee is non-refundable if you opt not to proceed with repairs after the device has been worked on. However, this deposit fee will be waived for all successful repairs, provided the repair is completed.
8. Customer Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse service to rude or disruptive customers. If we refuse service, we may limit our business dealings to online transactions, with the customer responsible for return shipping fees.
9. Deposits and Repair Opt-Out
- Deposits: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required for special-order parts.
- Repair Opt-Out: If the cost of the repair exceeds the approved estimate, you may opt out of repairs. If no decision is made within 30 days of receiving the device, a $1 per day storage fee will apply, which will be added to the final repair cost.
10. Shipping and Uncommon Repairs
- Lost Packages: We are not liable for lost packages but will assist in filing insurance claims if necessary.
- Uncommon Devices: We specialize in standard repairs and may have limitations regarding non-standard or uncommon devices. Please contact us in advance for clarification before sending such devices.
- Non-Standard PCB Board Repairs: For repairs involving non-standard or miscellaneous PCB boards, we reserve the right to charge rates comparable to specialized repair shops for those specific devices. If the board is testable in-house, we will perform testing; however, if testing is not feasible, we will charge the full repair price as outlined.
11. Rush Orders
Rush orders are expedited based on the normal expected repair time, but data recovery and liquid damage repairs generally take longer than usual. If rush order expectations are not met, the additional rush fees will be removed from the bill.
12. Device Return Policy
Trílex Fix will only return a device to the person who dropped it off or to someone with the ticket number.
13. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, remains the exclusive property of Trílex Fix Repair Group LLC and its licensors.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breaches of the Terms. Certain provisions, such as ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability, will continue to apply after termination.
15. Limited Repair Agreement
For devices that we cannot fully test or for items that are submitted in a partially deconstructed state, a Limited Repair Agreement will apply. For more details, please review the Limited Repair Agreement.
16. Governing Law and Changes
- Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
- Changes to Terms: We may modify these Terms at any time. We will communicate material changes with at least 30 days’ notice. By continuing to use our Service after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms. Failure to enforce any term does not waive our rights. If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining Terms will remain in effect. These Terms replace any prior agreements between us.
17. Acceptance
All terms and conditions apply once we receive the device for repair or you begin payment for services.
