About the Sega 32X
Released in 1994, the Sega 32X was an add-on system designed to expand the graphical and processing capabilities of the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive.

Unless the problem involves another component, send the console itself without unnecessary accessories. If the video problem may involve the Genesis-to-32X connection, let us know before shipping so we can advise you on what should be included.

4. Diagnosis & Repair
Once received, we inspect and test the console to determine the cause of the problem. If additional work is required, we will contact you before proceeding when approval is required.
5. Repair Updates
You may receive updates when your device is received, diagnostics are completed, parts are ordered when necessary, and the repair is completed.
6. Return Shipping
Once the repair is complete and payment has been processed, the repaired system is shipped back to you with tracking when available.
Typical turnaround: approximately 5–10 business days after approval for standard repairs. Complex repairs, parts availability, extensive corrosion, previous repair attempts, or other unexpected problems can increase turnaround time.
Sega 32X repairs performed by Trílex Fix may include a 90-day limited warranty covering applicable parts and workmanship for the repair performed.
The warranty does not cover new unrelated failures, accidental damage, liquid damage occurring after service, physical damage, misuse, or damage caused by subsequent third-party repair or tampering.

Genesis Model 1: If available, let us know whether you have the 32X spacer / support accessory.
Video Problems: A black screen or unstable video may involve the Genesis-to-32X link cable, connectors, video passthrough circuitry, or another part of the signal path. Tell us exactly how the system is connected.
Intermittent Resets: If the console randomly resets, provide information about the power supply / power brick you are using.
Modified Systems: Soft-modded, region-mixed, or otherwise modified setups may be serviceable. Please disclose modifications before sending the system.
Previous Repairs: If another repair shop or an individual has already opened or worked on your 32X, please tell us before shipping it. Previous repair work can affect diagnostics, repair complexity, cost, and repairability.
Q: My Sega 32X has a black screen, but I still have audio. Can you fix it?
A: We can diagnose black-screen and video problems. Possible causes include the video signal path, connectors, ribbon cables, passthrough circuitry, or other board-level faults. The system needs to be tested to determine the actual cause.
Q: Do you replace every capacitor during a recap?
A: A full recap service involves replacing applicable electrolytic capacitors with quality replacement components. We can also inspect the board and verify operation after the repair.
Q: My cartridge isn’t being detected. Can you repair that?
A: Yes. Cartridge-read problems can be caused by dirty or worn contacts, loose cartridge-slot connections, corrosion, or other electrical faults. We can clean, inspect, re-tension, and repair the cartridge connection as necessary.
Q: Can you repair a damaged ribbon cable or connector?
A: Yes. Ribbon cables and connectors are important parts of the 32X system and can develop damage or connection problems over time. We can inspect them and perform replacement or board-level repair when appropriate.
Q: Do you offer mail-in Sega 32X repair?
