🔧 General Questions in the Trilex Fix Repair FAQ
Can I only pay the diagnosis fee if I only want it diagnosed?
No. Trilex Fix does not offer diagnosis-only service. Our diagnostic process is performed as part of the repair process, with the goal of identifying the fault and completing the repair whenever possible.
If the repair is expected to exceed your approved price cap, we will contact you for authorization before any additional work is performed.
Do you offer student, military, or senior discounts?
Yes. Trilex Fix offers discounts for students, active-duty military members, veterans, and seniors. Please present a valid ID or other applicable proof of eligibility at the time of service.
What kind of updates will I receive during the repair process?
You’ll receive updates at key stages of the repair process, including when your device is received, diagnostics are completed, parts are ordered if needed, the repair is in progress, and the repair is completed.
You can also check your repair status at any time using our Trilex Fix Tracker.
What if my device breaks again after the repair?
If your device experiences the same issue we repaired and the repair is still covered under warranty, we will inspect it and, if the issue is determined to be related to the original repair, correct it at no additional charge.
If the repair is outside the warranty period or the issue is unrelated to the original repair, we will evaluate the device and provide you with repair options before proceeding.
What if I had prior repair work done?
Please let us know if your device has been previously repaired, modified, or disassembled before sending it in. Prior repair attempts can increase the complexity of the diagnosis and repair and may affect the final cost.
In some cases, additional labor may be required to correct previous repair work before we can address the original issue.
Is data recovery guaranteed for liquid-damaged devices?
No. Data recovery from liquid-damaged devices cannot be guaranteed because the extent of corrosion, electrical damage, and component failure can vary significantly.
However, Trilex Fix uses advanced diagnostic and data recovery techniques to provide the best possible chance of recovering your important data.
📦 Shipping & Mail-In in the Trilex Fix Repair FAQ
What if I can’t find a box to ship it in?
We recommend visiting your local Post Office and asking for a suitable USPS Flat Rate box for your device. Make sure the box is large enough to allow for proper padding and protection during shipping.
Anything you won’t fix?
Yes. There are certain devices we may be unable to repair due to severe damage, unavailable replacement parts, lack of service information, or previous repair attempts that have caused extensive damage.
Older or rare devices are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If we determine that a repair is not practical or the cost would significantly outweigh the value of the device, we will discuss your options with you before proceeding.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Yes. A few important service limitations may apply:
Trilex Fix does not service 2011 MacBook Pro models affected by AMD graphics failures.
Due to their size, weight, and fragile glass displays, we strongly recommend that iMacs be brought in for service in person whenever possible. Shipping an iMac is done at the customer’s risk, and Trilex Fix is not responsible for damage that occurs while the device is in transit.
Local service or house calls may be available for certain repairs, depending on location and availability. Please contact us before shipping any unusually large, fragile, modified, or previously damaged device.
⏱ Repair Times & Rush Orders in the Trilex Fix Repair FAQ
When will it be fixed?
Simple repairs, such as screen or keyboard replacements, can often be completed the same day. More complex repairs, including motherboard-level work and data recovery, may take anywhere from one day to several weeks depending on the issue, parts availability, and repair complexity.
Please contact us for the most current turnaround times.
What if I want express service?
Express service is available for an additional fee. Mark your package “RUSH” and include the applicable rush fee: $50 for standard repairs or $100 for data recovery services.
Rush service gives your device priority handling during normal business days and moves it to the front of the service queue whenever possible. The rush fee is non-refundable and applies regardless of whether the device is ultimately repairable.
💳 Payment & Quotes in the Trilex Fix Repair FAQ
How can I pay?
Once your repair is completed, we will send you an invoice with payment instructions.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Venmo, and Apple Pay. We do not accept personal or business checks.
Do I need to pay in advance?
For most standard repairs on devices less than 10 years old, no advance payment is required. Payment is due once the repair has been successfully completed.
Older devices and specialty circuit-board repairs outside our normal scope—such as automotive, audio, appliance, or other non-computer, gaming, or mobile electronics—may require a deposit or advance payment before work begins.
If we are unable to repair your device, you will generally only be responsible for return shipping. A repair attempt fee of up to $50 may also apply.
How do I send in my device for repair?
If your issue isn’t listed on our site, email us at fixthis@trilexfix.com or follow the mail-in instructions.
✅ Warranty & After-Service in the Trilex Fix Repair FAQ
What kind of warranty do you provide?
Most Trilex Fix repairs include a 30- to 90-day limited warranty, depending on the type of repair performed.
The warranty applies only to the specific part or issue that was repaired and does not cover unrelated failures, new damage, liquid damage, physical damage, or misuse.
If you experience a problem that may be related to the original repair and it is still within the warranty period, please contact us. Covered warranty issues will be repaired at no additional charge.
What happens after I mail the device?
Once your device arrives at Trilex Fix, we will inspect it and create your repair ticket. We do not create repair tickets before the device has been physically received and checked in.
We will keep you updated throughout the repair process. If the repair is successful, we will send you an invoice for payment. If the device cannot be repaired, you may choose to have it returned to you for the cost of return shipping or authorize us to recycle it.
What if the device ends up having something else wrong with it?
If we discover additional problems during the repair process, we will contact you before performing any work outside the original repair scope.
We will explain the additional issue, provide available repair options, and let you decide whether you would like to proceed with the additional work.
Will you maintain Apple Out-of-Warranty Swap eligibility?
We take care to preserve your device’s eligibility for Apple’s Out-of-Warranty replacement options whenever possible.
If you decline Apple’s replacement option and choose to have Trilex Fix service the device instead, we will perform the repair with that eligibility in mind. However, final eligibility is determined by Apple.
If our repair causes the device to become ineligible for a replacement option that was previously available, please contact us so we can review the situation and determine the appropriate resolution.
📁 Data Recovery in the Trilex Fix Repair FAQ
How does your data recovery service work?
Our data recovery process focuses on repairing the logic board or other failed components long enough to access and recover your data.
In some cases, the device may not be fully functional or suitable for continued use after recovery. Once the data has been recovered, we can return it to you on a USB storage device or through a private Google Drive folder.
If requested, we can also return the original device after the recovery process is complete.
I'm nervous about sending my phone. How do I know you won't remove parts?
We understand that mailing in a personal device can feel stressful. Trilex Fix follows a transparent repair process and treats every device with care and professionalism.
You can review our work, repair videos, and customer experiences through our YouTube channel and verified Google reviews. We also document the repair process and keep you updated throughout your service.
