Repair Services Terms and Conditions
Agreement to Terms
By submitting your device for repair, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Surrendering your device indicates that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
Device Possession and Retention
By submitting a device for repair, you authorize Trílex Fix Repair Group LLC to retain possession of the device until:
- The repair or repair attempt is completed.
- All applicable fees (diagnostic, disassembly, cancellation, or repair) are paid in full.
- Any agreed-upon price cap set between the customer and Trílex Fix team is exceeded.
We reserve the right to hold any device until service is completed. Mid-repair returns may incur disassembly or cancellation fees based on work already performed.
Theft and Missing Devices
- We conduct full investigations for lost or stolen devices, including shipping records, surveillance footage, and staff logs.
- Customers must report missing devices immediately.
- Liability for theft is limited to the verified device value or repair fee, whichever is less.
- High-value devices should be insured prior to shipment or service.
- This policy does not cover devices lost after being returned or delivered to a carrier once signed for.
By submitting your device, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
Repair Authorization and Risks
Submitting your device authorizes us to perform the necessary repairs. Repairs carry inherent risks, and delicate components may suffer damage despite best efforts.
Irreparable Device Risk
Some devices may not function properly after disassembly due to hidden damage or fragile components. In such cases, Trílex Fix will not be responsible for loss of function. Only applicable diagnostic or repair attempt fees apply.
Payment Terms
We accept Cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Venmo, and Klarna. Devices are retained until payment is received in full unless a payment plan is arranged in advance.
Estimates and Fees
- We may revise initial repair estimates. If a revised estimate exceeds the original by more than 49%, you will be notified.
- Devices not picked up within 30 days incur a $1/day storage fee.
- Diagnostics or unsuccessful repair attempts may incur fees of $40-$150.
- Work begins after assessing the issue and receiving a description of the problem. Without this, devices may be held 30 days before storage fees apply.
- Devices that cannot be repaired incur a minimum $40 No Fix fee.
- Devices with signs of infestation or contamination may require cleaning fees starting at $200. Service may be refused if staff health is at risk.
Responsibilities and Liabilities
- We are not responsible for cosmetic damage before or during repair.
- Customers must back up data; we are not liable for data loss.
- Liability is limited to total fees paid for services rendered.
- Parts damaged beyond repair will not be returned.
- Misuse, tampering, or non-standard parts may result in limited or canceled repairs, or higher fees.
- Unapproved accessories or equipment may incur additional shipping fees.
Device Return and Warranty
Devices are not returned mid-repair except under specific conditions. Deposits for special-order parts are non-refundable until repair completion.
Warranty coverage:
- 90 days: LCD and hard disk replacements.
- 30 days: All other repairs.
Required Testing Equipment: For devices 10+ years old or VR headsets with joystick drift, customers must provide compatible game cartridges, controllers, or headsets. Without proper equipment, devices cannot be fully tested and repairs are not covered under warranty.
Refund Policy
- Full refunds if devices remain unopened or undiagnosed.
- Partial refunds minus diagnostic fees for failed warranty repairs.
- Deposits for unavailable parts are refundable minus diagnostic fees.
- $50 minimum upfront fee for opened devices, waived if repair completes successfully.
Customer Conduct
Service may be refused to rude or disruptive customers. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Deposits and Repair Opt-Out
- 50% non-refundable deposit required for special-order parts.
- Customers may opt out if repair exceeds approved estimate. Devices held more than 30 days without decision incur $1/day storage fees.
Shipping and Specialized Repairs
- We are not responsible for lost packages but assist with insurance claims.
- Contact us before sending unusual or non-standard devices.
- Specialized rates may apply for difficult or unusual PCB repairs.
Rush Orders
Repairs are expedited according to normal repair times. Data recovery and liquid damage may take longer. Rush fees are waived if deadlines are missed.
Device Return Policy
Devices are only released to the original drop-off person or someone with the ticket number and matching ID.
Intellectual Property
All service content and features remain the exclusive property of Trílex Fix Repair Group LLC.
Termination of Service
We may suspend or terminate service immediately for any violation. Certain terms continue to apply after termination.
Limited Repair Agreement
This applies to devices that cannot be fully tested or arrive partially disassembled.
Governing Law and Updates
These terms are governed by U.S. law. We may update the terms with 30 days’ notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Agreement Acceptance
These terms take effect upon receipt of your device or payment.
